AAH Art and Healing
AAH Art and Healing is a creative wellbeing studio based in Aireys Inlet on Victoria’s Surf Coast. Founded to support emotional wellbeing through creativity, AAH Art and Healing provides a welcoming space where people of all ages can explore art, self-expression, and personal growth. The studio offers art supplies, holistic art therapy, arts and crafts workshops, social-emotional learning programs, Chakradance classes, exhibitions, and creative community experiences. Through its combination of artistic practice and wellbeing services, AAH Art and Healing encourages people to connect with their creativity as a pathway to confidence, resilience, and healing.
Julia Freake
Julia Freake is an Australian artist, creative facilitator, and founder of AAH Art and Healing. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Surf Coast and by her family, Julia is passionate about helping people enhance their emotional wellbeing through creative expression. Her artwork spans a variety of mediums, including acrylic and oil painting, with styles ranging from contemporary graphic art and modern minimalism to landscapes, seascapes, and abstract works.
Since establishing AAH Art and Healing in 2020, Julia has developed a unique creative hub that combines art education, therapeutic programs, and community engagement. She offers workshops for children and adults, creative wellbeing programs, open studio experiences, and opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their work. Her vision is to create a safe, inclusive environment where creativity becomes a tool for learning, connection, self-discovery, and healing.

- Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy (HICAT)Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy is a mental health profession that uses the creative process of art-making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages. It uses art, music, drama, dance/movement, poetry/creative writing, play, sandplay and storytelling in the context of therapy, counselling, rehabilitation and holistic healing. Holistic Integrative Creative Arts Therapists are not qualified medical professionals and must refer their clients to a healthcare professional for anything outside their scope of practice. The term Art Therapy, Art Therapist or similar terms may be regulated in certain countries. Please ensure you are aware of any government regulations prior to setting up your practice.
- Training & AssessmentTraining & Assessment, also known as Adult Learning & Development, is a course designed to prepare educators in regulated (i.e. the VET sector) and non-regulated industries to confidently and professionally plan for and deliver training to individuals, small workgroups and classes of varying sizes. Incorporating the technical skills and knowledge necessary, facilitators/assessors are able to develop and administer assessments against nationally recognised qualifications and units.

It combines storytelling, mindfulness, and interactive tools to engage children in exploring their emotions, building resilience, and developing essential life skills. Chakradance Kids™ utilizes a range of resources, including storybooks, plush toys, and interactive play materials, to create a nurturing and playful environment. Through imaginative play, guided activities, and open dialogue, children are encouraged to express their feelings, enhance their self-awareness, and cultivate emotional intelligence. Inamojo™ aims to empower children with tools and techniques that promote emotional regulation, empathy, and healthy relationships, fostering their overall social and emotional growth.
- Tarot Card ReadingThe Tarot is a deck of cards with depictions of archetypal beings or symbols. Tarot readers have an understanding of each card and how they relate to one another. They share this wisdom and guidance with their clients to provide clarity or a fresh perspective as it pertains to a specific circumstance or overall life path. This process supports clients to access their innermost truth and what they already know at an evolved level of awareness. Tarot card readings can be engaged to explore clients' purpose in life, improve relationships, find a sense of inner peace and predict outcomes.Training provided by Centre of Excellence
- Youth Work / Youth JusticeYouth Workers facilitate activities through a range of community-based programs to address the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of young people. They provide advice and support to those who may be, or already are, at risk to ensure they have the best possible opportunities. - Chakradance™Founded by Natalie Southgate in 1998, Chakradance is a movement therapy practice designed to promote wellbeing. Chakradance draws on music which is chakra-resonant specific, and uses spontaneous dance which can support attunement of the mind-body-spirit energy system. A Chakradance practitioner facilitates the integration of such movement and music to create alignment between the seven major chakras, which may assist their client to create a stronger connection between mind, body, and spirit.Training provided by Chakradance
