About

I’m Kate, an artist, art therapist and creative practitioner passionate about helping people reconnect with their creativity, wellbeing and sense of self.

My work combines art, creative expression, mindfulness and nervous-system-aware practices to create supportive spaces where people can slow down, explore and reconnect with themselves. I offer creative workshops, art groups, mentoring, meditation and retreats, with a focus on making creativity accessible, meaningful and enjoyable.

Whether you consider yourself “creative” or not, I believe there’s something powerful in making space to play, experiment and express yourself without judgement.

Approved Modalities
  • Art Therapy
Art Therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that integrates established psychology models with active art-making, creative process and applied psychological theory. Unlike traditional talk therapy, Art Therapists use kinesthetic, sensory, perceptual and symbolic opportunities to explore emotions and feelings which may be limited by language. This empowers the client to tap into their inner well of knowledge to discover solutions and insights in their own way. Art Therapists can help with things like mental health, eating disorders, life changes, anxiety and depression, self-discovery, family and relationship crisis, addiction and substance abuse, and spiritual crises. In some countries, the title Art Therapy or Therapist is regulated. It is essential you are familiar with and adhere to the laws in your state/province or country which govern the appropriate use of titles, require licensure/registration, or a specific level of education.
  • Meditation
Meditation is an umbrella term for a number of practices that train the meditator to be present to their thoughts with awareness and without judgement. Counter to the conditioning of the mind/body system, positive effects of meditation can be heightened relaxation, the building of etheric energy and deeper awareness. Through either sustained focus, mindfulness, or the cultivation of compassion, meditation can clear the mind and ease many health concerns, such as high blood pressure, depression and anxiety.
  • Circle Facilitator
Indigenous communities have long utilized circles for spiritual connection and guidance, employing ritual, storytelling, and music. In modern times, circle facilitators, often community activists, convene groups to honour life transitions, share stories, and foster self-awareness and community bonds. They establish a safe, respectful environment, setting guidelines and boundaries such as confidentiality and non-judgment. Circles vary in theme and structure, catering to specific groups or shared interests like Women's or Men's Circles. Facilitators aren't counsellors but guide participants through reflection and dialogue, referring them to appropriate professionals for deeper issues. Through circles, individuals find support, understanding, and connection, echoing the ancestral wisdom of Indigenous traditions in contemporary community settings.
