  • Swedish Massage
One of the world's most widely used massage techniques, Swedish Massage, also known as classic massage, uses light pressure and gentle strokes to promote relaxation, soften connective tissue and encourage circulation. Practitioners may utilise different techniques throughout a session such as Effleurage (long, flowing strokes), Petrissage (kneading), Tapotement (rhythmic tapping), Friction and Vibration which may be applied to the back, neck, legs, arms, hands and feet. Practitioners may use oil or lotion to protect the skin from friction. A session is generally 50 - 60 minutes in duration.

  • Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a technique mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as sports injuries, chronic pain, and muscle tension. Using slow, deep strokes practitioners target areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and connective tissue, also known as fascia. In addition to using their hands, practitioners may also use their elbows and forearms to intensify the pressure if required. Deep tissue massage promotes healing by breaking down scar tissue, reducing muscle tension and decreasing inflammation. Sessions are generally 50 - 60 minutes in duration. Post-session, clients may notice a reduction in pain, increased flexibility and improved movement.

  • Hot and Cold Stone Massage
Hot and cold stone massage is a therapeutic technique that involves the use of heated and cooled stones to enhance the benefits of a massage. Smooth, specially selected stones are heated or chilled and then placed on specific areas of the body, such as the back, hands, or feet. The combination of temperature and massage techniques creates a unique sensory experience and offers various therapeutic effects. The warmth of the hot stones helps to relax muscles, improve circulation, and promote deep relaxation. Cold stones, on the other hand, can help reduce inflammation, numb pain, and invigorate the body. During the massage, the therapist may also use the stones as an extension of their hands, applying gentle pressure and gliding movements to release tension and enhance the overall massage experience.
