Approved Modalities
  • Wellness Coaching
A Wellness Coach is a professional who supports clients in achieving holistic well-being by addressing various aspects of health, including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. They collaborate with individuals to set goals, develop personalized strategies for self-care, enhance resilience, and cultivate a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. Wellness Coaches provide guidance, motivation, and accountability to empower clients in making sustainable lifestyle changes aimed at improving overall health and quality of life. Drawing from principles of psychology, nutrition, exercise science, mindfulness, and positive psychology, they help clients navigate challenges, overcome barriers, and thrive in all areas of wellness. Wellness coaches are not therapists/mental health professionals or qualified nutritionists, nor can they diagnose or prescribe. Anything beyond their scope of practice should be directed to a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that utilizes hypnosis to access and influence the subconscious mind. It involves inducing a relaxed state, known as a trance, where the individual is open to positive suggestions and guided imagery. This altered state of consciousness allows the hypnotherapist to work with the client's deeper levels of awareness to address and transform limiting beliefs, behaviours, and emotional patterns. It is a collaborative process that aims to harness the power of the mind for personal growth and healing. For our purposes, it is important to differentiate Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy from Clinical Hypnotherapy. Clinical Hypnotherapists undergo extensive training and are skilled in Counselling/Psychotherapy, making them adept at handling more complex cases such as trauma/PTSD, fears and phobias, sexual dysfunction, and so on.
  • Gut Directed Hypnosis
Gut Directed Hypnosis is a therapeutic approach that combines hypnotherapy and NLP techniques to target gut disorders. Professor Peter Whorwell of South Manchester UK discovered that using hypnosis to relax IBS clients resulted in significant symptom reduction, up to 70%. This led to further research exploring various aspects of gut-related symptoms, quality of life, anxiety, and depression. The studies found that hypnotherapy not only improves colonic symptoms but also reduces associated anxiety and depression while enhancing overall quality of life. The positive effects were observed for up to five years after treatment completion, maintaining a similar level of improvement.
