Approved Modalities
- Crystal HealingCrystal Healing uses the vibrational properties of crystals to bring balance and healing to the mind-body system. Each crystal has unique properties that can address specific emotional or physical blockages. During a typical session, a crystal therapist will strategically place crystals on or around a client to support them with attuning to the crystal’s healing and transformative intelligence. Practitioners may also advise their clients to wear certain crystals, place crystals in their bath or infuse their drinking water, create a crystal grid in their home or workplace, or use crystals as part of a ritual, such as space clearing or intention setting.
- Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)Co-founded by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970’s, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) enables us to understand how our brain processes the words we use and how that can effect our programming and behaviour. Engaging various tools and techniques, practitioners support clients with re-programming their neurology, language and actions. Rather than allowing thoughts to be passive, NLP techniques help to look at thoughts, feelings and emotions as things that can be controlled. Techniques can include things such as Imagery Training, NLP Swish, Modelling, Mirroring, and Incantations.
- Reiki III (Master)Reiki is a hands-on energy healing method developed by Mikao Usui in 1922. What sets it apart is the attunements passed from Teacher/Master to student, opening up their energy fields. Reiki involves transferring universal life force energy from practitioner to client, with hands placed on or above specific body locations. Symbols are used with different intentions, visualized or drawn. Reiki can be done in person or through distant healing, lasting 60-90 minutes. It aids in pain relief, healing, relaxation, and balancing chakras and aura energy. Clients remain clothed on a massage table during sessions. For IICT purposes, a Reiki Master is someone who is qualified to teach and attune others to Reiki.
- Shamanism / Shamanic HealingShamanism and Shamanic Healing encompass visionary practices across various cultures, utilising altered states of consciousness, imagination, and creativity for personal and spiritual growth. Rituals, symbolism, mythology, and body/mind techniques help practitioners "walk between worlds" and conduct soul retrieval. Shamans work at individual, group, family, and community levels, employing human potential for insight, spiritual healing, and self-realisation. Sweat lodge ceremonies, physical and psychological challenges, and the use of spiritual tools and art are common practices. While demanding, these experiences can be deeply rewarding, fostering a lifelong commitment to "soul-work" and self-discovery. IICT does not endorse the usage of psychotropic drugs such as Ayahuasca and/ or San Pedro and the Shamanism modality does not include the usage of psychotropic drugs such as Ayahuasca and/or San Pedro.
- Tarot Card ReadingThe Tarot is a deck of cards with depictions of archetypal beings or symbols. Tarot readers have an understanding of each card and how they relate to one another. They share this wisdom and guidance with their clients to provide clarity or a fresh perspective as it pertains to a specific circumstance or overall life path. This process supports clients to access their innermost truth and what they already know at an evolved level of awareness. Tarot card readings can be engaged to explore clients' purpose in life, improve relationships, find a sense of inner peace and predict outcomes.
- Mental HealthMental Health professionals focus on rehabilitation and support for people and families affected by mental health-related issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, mental illness and psychiatric disability and/or social issues such as poverty, unemployment or homelessness. They can work in health care facilities or for a community service provider performing tasks such as executing community-based activities, providing referral services, engaging in advocacy work, facilitating recovery and implementing trauma-informed practices.Training provided by South Metropolitan Tafe
