The Self Care Company
About

I’m Erin Ko, founder of The Self Care Company. For nearly two decades, I’ve helped people feel better, think differently, and create meaningful change through coaching, wellness, movement, mindfulness and personal development. Today, my work has expanded to include financial education and career development, because I believe true self-care is about more than how we feel—it’s about creating a life that supports who we want to become. I’m passionate about helping people see what’s possible, believe in it, and become it.

Approved Modalities
  • Personal Training
Personal Trainers assist their clients in achieving health and fitness goals by providing general nutrition advice (within their scope of practice) and tailored fitness programs which may include flexibility, resistance and cardiovascular exercises. Personal Trainers are qualified to teach clients one-on-one or instruct group fitness classes in a variety of settings which can include gyms, outdoors, community centres, the client or trainer’s home, or a private business. Personal Trainers are not qualified to give medical or physical therapy advice, provide detailed meal plans, manual therapy, or counselling.
  • Strategic Intervention Coaching
Strategic Intervention Coaching is a transformative approach that draws from various disciplines, including psychology, communication, and life coaching. Developed by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes, it focuses on practical strategies to help individuals and couples overcome challenges and achieve desired outcomes. Coaches utilize targeted interventions to create rapid and lasting changes, addressing issues such as relationships, personal development, and goal achievement. By identifying patterns, reframing perspectives, and implementing specific action steps, Strategic Intervention Coaching empowers clients to navigate complex situations, improve communication, and create meaningful transformations in their lives.
  • Yoga
A physical, mental and spiritual practice, Yoga is a Vedic tradition of India and the Himalayas dating more than 2,500 years. Classes are generally 1 - 1 ½ hrs in duration and incorporate physical postures and movement (asanas), breath exercises (pranayama), relaxation and concentration, philosophy, and meditation. Yoga benefits the physical and mental body by enhancing flexibility, improving muscle strength and tone, increasing body awareness, and promoting relaxation and calm.
  • Spinal Flow® Technique
The Spinal Flow® Technique, developed by Dr Carli Axford, is a healing approach rooted in spine and nervous system philosophy. Practitioners learn the spine's 7 gateways and assess its 33 vertebrae for blockages caused by chemical, physical, or emotional stress. Through light palpation, they initiate the Spinal Wave™, relieving pain and dis-ease by connecting the nervous system to the brain and integrating experiences. This certification program teaches powerful communication and effective contact with spinal access points, facilitating the flow of the Spinal Wave from the coccyx to the cranium. By tapping into the body's innate potential, the technique enhances well-being and transforms the way stress is processed, promoting holistic healing.
