Meet Eliza-Beth & Jenny
Wild Sacred Medicine was founded by Eliza-Beth Brennan and Jenny McKenzie from a shared belief that healing involves more than addressing symptoms alone. Together, they create pathways that honour the therapeutic, ecological, relational and sacred dimensions of human experience — supporting people to reconnect with themselves, the living world and what they hold sacred.
While their pathways and practices differ, they share a commitment to soul-centred, trauma-informed and nature-connected approaches that support healing, remembering, personal empowerment and meaningful participation in life. Drawing on diverse professional, experiential and international training, decades of practice, and an ongoing commitment to learning and apprenticeship, they bring both depth and humility to the work they offer.
- Equine Facilitated Learning - EFLEquine Facilitated Learning (EFL) is an experiential learning approach where clients are offered safe experiences with horses in order to develop social-emotional skills and personal and professional development (i.e. leadership skills and team building). EFL provides an opportunity to evolve problem-solving skills, resilience, self-confidence and self-esteem through activities such as grooming, riding and training horses. By building a trusting relationship and connection with horses, clients learn how to better relate to themselves, each other and the environment. EFL is not a substitute for therapy and facilitators need to be aware of the boundary between therapy and learning. When appropriate, EFL practitioners must refer their clients to an appropriate mental or health care professional. Modality can also be known as Equine Experiential Learning (EEL), Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) or Equine Therapy.
- Nature Based TherapyNature-Based Therapy is a therapeutic approach that incorporates the natural environment into the healing process. Recognizing the innate connection between humans and nature, sessions take place outdoors in natural settings like parks or gardens, engaging in activities such as hiking or gardening. Therapists may use nature-related metaphors to explore emotions and experiences. This approach has shown effectiveness in treating mental health issues like depression, anxiety, stress, and addiction. By immersing clients in nature, Nature-Based Therapy harnesses the healing power of the outdoors to promote emotional well-being and personal growth.
- Reiki III (Master)Reiki is a hands-on energy healing method developed by Mikao Usui in 1922. What sets it apart is the attunements passed from Teacher/Master to student, opening up their energy fields. Reiki involves transferring universal life force energy from practitioner to client, with hands placed on or above specific body locations. Symbols are used with different intentions, visualized or drawn. Reiki can be done in person or through distant healing, lasting 60-90 minutes. It aids in pain relief, healing, relaxation, and balancing chakras and aura energy. Clients remain clothed on a massage table during sessions. For IICT purposes, a Reiki Master is someone who is qualified to teach and attune others to Reiki.
- Equine ReikiEquine Reiki is a form of energy healing that focuses on promoting balance, relaxation, and well-being in horses. It involves the gentle laying of hands on or near the horse's body to channel healing energy. The practitioner connects with the horse's energy field and works to remove blockages, release tension, and stimulate the horse's natural healing abilities. Equine Reiki can help reduce stress, ease physical discomfort, and enhance emotional and mental well-being in horses. It is a non-invasive and holistic approach that aims to support the horse's overall health, vitality, and harmonious connection with its environment.
- Systemic / Family ConstellationsFamily Constellations, pioneered by Bert Hellinger, is an alternative therapeutic intervention rooted in Gestalt and psychodynamic therapy. It addresses family history, unrecognized dynamics, and dysfunctional patterns that affect individuals. Techniques like drama therapy, sand-tray therapy, and art therapy help clients confront and accept the factual reality of their past. Typically, participants stand in as family members in role-play scenarios, allowing clients to interact directly or observe from a higher perspective. The goal is to gain insights and develop new perspectives, resolving conflicts or familial patterns. Family Constellations are beneficial for identifying childhood patterns affecting the present, confronting deceased or unreachable family members, or understanding how family of origin influences current relationships.
- Soul Purpose FacilitationFounded by Gail Goodwin of Body Soul Spirit, Soul Purpose Facilitation is a guidance and coaching process that helps individuals connect with their deeper life purpose and align their choices and actions with their authentic path. Through introspection, inquiry, and exploration, a facilitator assists clients in uncovering their unique gifts, passions, and values. This process encourages self-discovery, personal growth, and clarity, empowering individuals to make meaningful life decisions, pursue fulfilling careers, and contribute to the world in ways that resonate with their soul's calling. Soul Purpose Facilitation aims to bring greater fulfilment, purpose, and authenticity to one's life journey.
